Jeremy Malies
Nickname: Nutkin
Position: Goalkeeper
Football career: Forcibly retired from goalkeeping by his mother aged 11 in a cub scout troupe when goals became full size and his lack of height was exposed. Returned 45 years later as the size of walking football goals means lack of stature is less of a problem.
Walking football history: Press-ganged by The Cat. One of four goalkeepers and three journalists in the club, he writes drama reviews for Plays International & Europe as well as match reports from The Cage and Horntye. He sees little difference between the histrionics displayed in both activities.
Inspirations: Charlton Athletic (he is a recent convert who prides himself on attending away games) and his role model Hugo Lloris.
